Officially In the Christmas Spirit

We have had a great weekend, so far, filled with many things "Christmas". On Friday night, we went downtown to see some Christmas lights. On Saturday morning, we watched sweet Emma perform as a Gumdrop in the Nutcracker Ballet in Fort Smith. And then went to visit Brad's parents who were hosting Fran's brothers and sisters (she has 10 of them) for a Christmas dinner party. Needless to say, we are now in the Christmas spirit!!!

Christmas Downtown was fun! Kate LOVED looking at all of the lights, but looked at Brad and I like we were pretty weird with all of our oooing and awwwing...we already embarrass her...YES!!!

On Saturday morning we headed out (VERY EARLY) for Fort Smith to see our niece, Emma, perform in her first Nutcracker Ballet! She did an awesome job and we are soooo proud of her! We can't wait to see her perform again! It was Kate and Brad's first ballet and they both seemed to enjoy it thoroughly. Kate was amazed by the colors and music. She did really well and only had to leave toward the end. We enjoyed sharing this with her because we realize it's not going to be long before she has better things to do than sit still on Mom and Dad's laps! Oh, there is also a picture of the sign that was in Abby and Ron's front yard...so precious!!After we had lunch with Ron, Damian, and Sherry (Vivi got to stay home with Sherry's parents...we missed her though), we headed off for a visit with Brad's parents. They were having the Hodges family Christmas dinner so it was fun to get to see all of Brad's aunts and uncles too! Baby Stephanie and Roger and Lisa also came over so that we could meet her and visit. Kate REALLY wanted to give Stephanie kisses (or take a bite out of her face) and Stephanie REALLY wanted to get the heck away from Kate...it was too funny!!! They will be a funny pair to watch at Christmas....if Kate has her way!

When we got home, Brad went out to meet Alex and Andrea Jansen and Wes and Janna. Wes and Janna live in OKC (yay...we have friends here) and A & A were in visiting them. Unfortunately, Kate was well past FINISHED with social hour. She and I stayed home to get settled and into bed. I'm sad I missed out, but will see the crew over Christmas!!
