Kate yesterday...11 weeks and 5 days old. I just can't get enough of those big blue eyes!!!
We hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend. Ours was very low-key which we enjoyed very much! I took some pictures here and there this weekend and thought I would share. Our Kate is getting so big and becoming her own person more and more each day...she's just precious!!!
I had a meeting last week and one of the other committee members brought her 5 month old little boy to the meeting. He had with him a giraffe named Sophie and chewed and chewed on it for the entire hour and a half that we were meeting. He was so into this little giraffe and could grasp her long neck just right as to get it into his mouth. Better yet, Sophie is made of all natural substances, including food grade paint so it's super-duper safe for baby. Turns out that it is tradition for all babies in France to grow up with a Sophie...it's a 47 year old toy! So, of course we headed to EcoBaby and picked up a Sophie for Kate and a couple of others for some friends with babies! Here's a picture of Kate with her new Sophie...

The mornings and evenings were very nice this weekend but the afternoons were pretty warm. So...we took lots of walks in the mornings and evenings...we're trying to get back to our pre-marriage figures...ha!!! Usually we would take Kate walking in her stroller but our kind neighbors gave us a Snugli Carrier the other day as a gift for Kate. Brad loves it because it adds 15 pounds to his workout and Kate loves it because the bounce of dad's walk puts her right to sleep for an evening snooze. Here are a couple of pics of Kate and Brad modeling the Snugli...as you can see, it is post-walk because Kate is sleeping and Brad's having a cold one! There are some things that shouldn't go by the wayside when dieting..hee hee! I also included a picture of Kate and Brad enjoying the AC during the heat of the day.

And, finally here is a random picture of Kate playing in her playgym. I know it seems like she's always under that thing but she loves it! She can now grab two toys (one in each hand) and also will grab one toy with both hands and of course EVERYTHING goes straight to the mouth...pretty good for less than 3 mo. old!
